LUMA Mai Art

LUMA Mai Art is all about emotion in colour—layered abstracts that feel like memories, movement and light.

Each piece is created to transform a room into a story, whether it’s a one‑of‑a‑kind canvas or a custom commission made just for you.

Meet The Artist

I’m Samantha, the artist behind LUMA Mai Art — a space where abstract expression meets intuition, movement and light. My work is rooted in emotion: the kind you feel before you can name it. Every piece is created to shift the atmosphere of a room, to make you pause, breathe, and connect.

Based in Nantwich, Cheshire, I paint with a focus on layered texture, bold colour stories, and fluid forms.

My style is shaped by the idea that art should feel alive — changing with the light, the season, and the person experiencing it.

My Process & Philosophy

I work intuitively — letting colour guide me, letting movement shape the canvas, and letting emotion lead the final composition. No two pieces are ever the same. I build my abstracts through layers: washes, texture mediums, palette knife strokes, and fine detailing that reveals itself slowly.

Whether I’m creating an original canvas or a commissioned piece, my goal is always the same: to create art that feels personal, meaningful, and deeply connected to the space it lives in.

Working Together

Commissioning a piece is a beautiful process. I begin with your ideas — colours, size, mood, and the feeling you want the artwork to bring into your space. From there, I create a concept, and once approved, your artwork begins to take shape.

“Our living room finally feels like us.”
“The colours change with the light—obsessed.”

“Her work transformed our living room — it feels like a completely different space.”
“The colours shift with the light. It’s mesmerising.”
“Our commission was such a personal experience. We love the final piece.”

Art should feel alive.
Art should feel personal.
Art should make you feel something.

LUMA Mai Art is built on authenticity, emotional connection, and the belief that creativity is a form of storytelling. Every piece carries intention, energy, and a little bit of magic.
